Ephesians 1:17 – Today’s Verse for June 18, 2025 Wednesday

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.“
—  Ephesians 1:17 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Paul isn’t praying for better behavior. He’s not even asking for a checklist of spiritual achievements. He’s praying that we see. That we know—not just in the brain, but deep in the soul—who God really is. Not a distant ruler or vague idea, but a glorious Father who wants to be known.

Wisdom and revelation aren’t for showing off. They’re the lightbulbs God switches on so we can recognize His fingerprints in our story, His voice in the chaos, and His heart behind everything. And the more we know Him, the less we fall for cheap imitations—false hopes, fake peace, shallow love.

God doesn’t withhold this wisdom. He gives it freely to those who ask. Which means the greatest thing we can do today isn’t hustle harder—it’s to slow down and say, “God, help me see You clearly.” Because once that happens, everything else starts making sense.

Personal Prayer

Father of glory, I’m asking—make Yourself known to me. Not in vague hints or borrowed words, but in ways that shake me awake and leave no doubt.

Give me wisdom that sees through noise and confusion. Give me revelation that makes truth personal, not just familiar. Help me recognize Your voice, even when everything else is loud.

More than answers, I want You. If knowing You is the prize, then I’m all in. So open my heart wide. Fill it with the kind of knowing that changes everything.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
