For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. — Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV
Indeed, there is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and does not ever sin. — Ecclesiastes 7:20 NASB
Reflection
While we may never attain sinlessness, we are called to strive for holiness, relying on the Holy Spirit to transform us daily. Each failure becomes an opportunity to draw closer to God, to seek His forgiveness, and to grow in our dependence on Him.
This passage calls us to humility, grace, and a relentless pursuit of righteousness through the strength and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ. We should embrace our imperfections, extend grace to others, and continually seek the transforming power of God’s Spirit in our lives.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask for Your strength and guidance as I strive to live a life that honors You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may grow in righteousness and holiness. Teach me to rely not on my own strength, but on Your power and wisdom. When I stumble and fall, remind me of Your unfailing love and lift me up with Your gentle hands.
Grant me a heart of compassion and understanding towards others. Just as You have extended grace to me, help me to extend grace to those around me. Let me be a vessel of Your love, offering forgiveness and support to those who need it.
In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
