Reflection on Today's Verse
Being kind, gentle, and forgiving aren’t big ideas; they’re things we do every day. Paul doesn’t want you to forgive by finding your own strength. He reminds you of what God did for Christ’s sake.
This verse reminds you that when you find it hard to forgive, you are not paying back a debt; you are giving back a gift you have already received. Grace flows best when you stop trying to control it.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for completely forgiving me for Christ’s sake. When I’m feeling protective or slow to forgive, remind me of the mercy You’ve shown me.
Help me be kind when it’s hard, soft-hearted when it’s hard, and forgiving when it costs something. Today, let your grace shape what I say, how I act, and my relationships. I trust in what You’ve already done. Amen.
