Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. — Colossians 3:20 KJV
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. — Colossians 3:20 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
Children reserve the option to be treated with love and regard, yet they additionally have the obligation to be obedient to their parents. Tragically, when parents are not under the authority of God they are unfit to teach their own children, and this can have an unfavorable impact in the home, and in society on the loose. Yet, having non-Christian parents doesn’t exempt a child from this order, to be obedient to your parents in every way, for this is pleasing to the Lord, for He has vowed to give His sufficient grace to all, who trust in Him.
May we, perceive the significance of family jobs, scriptural obligation, faithful discipline, and child preparing just as our responsibility towards God. Furthermore, may we as children of our heavenly Father, be obedient to Him in every way – for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.
My Prayer
Glorious Father, thank You for ordaining that we are placed in families, and for directing us in the scriptural jobs and obligations we have towards each other. Help me with being obedient to You, in word and deed, and guide me with being a good example of a faithful life in my own family and to those, in wider area, with whom I come in touch. May I live and work to Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
