Reflection on Today's Verse
The way we speak matters. Our words should carry grace, wisdom, and kindness, especially when conversations are difficult. Being “seasoned with salt” means our speech should be thoughtful, meaningful, and appropriate for the moment.
As believers, we do not represent Christ only through our actions, but also through our words. A gentle answer, an encouraging sentence, or a patient response can make a lasting difference. Before we speak, we can ask whether our words are truthful, gracious, and helpful.
Today, choose words that bring peace rather than conflict, encouragement rather than discouragement, and grace rather than harshness.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of words and for the opportunity to use them to encourage others. Help me to speak with grace, wisdom, patience, and kindness. Guard my tongue from words that may hurt, discourage, or create unnecessary conflict.
Give me wisdom to know when to speak, what to say, and how to respond to every person. May my words reflect Your love and bring honor to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
