Reflection on Today's Verse
Salvation rests on God’s mercy, not on our ability to earn it. Good works matter, but they are the fruit of salvation—not its price. We are saved because God is compassionate and gracious, not because we have achieved enough or lived perfectly.
This truth replaces pride with humility and anxiety with gratitude. We do not have to prove ourselves worthy of God’s love. Instead, we can trust what Christ has accomplished and allow His mercy to shape how we treat others.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for saving me according to Your mercy and not according to my imperfect works. Keep me from pride and from trying to earn what You freely give through Christ.
Fill my heart with gratitude, renew me by Your Spirit, and help me extend to others the same mercy You have shown me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
