Thought and Reflection

While we show our children that we should not hate other people, we also should train them to severely dislike unfairness, wickedness, bias, and the abuse of the feeble.

Amos reminded Israel that God requests justice be controlled decently for both rich and poor, occupant and outsider. Their rehashed refusals of God’s will here brought destruction upon their property regardless of their evident wealth and influence in Amos’ day.

My Prayer

Dear God, I realize you are angry at the unfairness in such countless grounds and are angered at the ethnic scorn setting our world ablaze. Please make your people, your Church, a place of justice, equity, empathy, love, racial mending, and trust.

Please begin in my heart and with my hands to build this better world. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
