For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. — John 3:17 KJV
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. — John 3:17 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
God does not believe in condemnation. I am aware that Satan has started the rumor quite some time back, but don’t believe it. God isn’t a shrewd teacher who is looking to fail and humiliate students. God isn’t a cantankerous judge seeking to humiliate, shame and punish anyone who is before the court.
God is not a gossiper spread rumors about our sins throughout the heavens of heaven. The only true and living God will be a blessing to us through his salvation. He is seeking to shower us with grace and mercy. He would like us to become his children. He is, however, incredible, holy, righteous and fair.
Therefore, when God’s love to us is in conflict with God’s demand for a righteous character, there’s only one option: Jesus! Jesus is God’s way of fulfilling God’s righteous requirements through his generous mercy. God sent Jesus to rescue the sinful. Jesus was sent to save people from all races, nations and different cultures from sin and the consequences of iniquity. Jesus was sent to rescue us.
My Prayer
I thank you, God for your determination to help me. Thank you God for requiring holy living from me in order to protect me from the harm that the sin of my life causes.
It is my thanksgiving to you that you are encouraging me to be a good person, to ensure that my life can be a blessing for others , and not be a burden. I am thankful for the challenge you have given me to be a good person to allow others to be able to see the glory of your positive actions.
So please use me, Lord. I know I am not worthy, but I want to be one of your tools letting the lost know about your mercy and grace in Jesus. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
