Reflection on Today's Verse
The heart of the gospel is mercy. Jesus did not come into the world for people who had everything together; He came to rescue sinners. Paul openly remembered his past, but he did not allow it to define his future. Instead, his life became evidence of how deeply Christ can forgive, restore, and transform.
This verse invites us to be honest about our weaknesses without falling into shame. We do not have to hide from God or pretend to be perfect. His grace meets us exactly where we are. No mistake is too great, no past is too broken, and no heart is beyond His reach.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. Thank You that Your mercy is greater than my failures and Your grace is stronger than my past.
Forgive me for the times I have sinned in thought, word, and action. Help me to come before You honestly, trusting that You are faithful to forgive and restore me.
Keep me humble and grateful for the salvation I have received. Transform my heart, guide my choices, and help my life reflect the love of Christ. Teach me also to show mercy to others, just as You have shown mercy to me.
May I never forget that my hope is not in my own goodness, but in the saving grace of Jesus.
