Reflection on Today's Verse
No amount of good works, religious effort, or obedience to the law can make us righteous before God. Our justification rests entirely in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for us. This truth frees us from trying to earn God’s acceptance and teaches us to live by faith, gratitude, and dependence on Christ.
We still desire to do what is right, but not to earn salvation. We serve God because we have already been accepted in Christ. Our confidence is not in our performance, but in His finished work.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that my salvation does not depend on my own works or goodness. Thank You for justifying me through faith in Jesus Christ. Help me to stop trusting in myself and to rest fully in what Christ has accomplished for me.
Teach me to live each day with gratitude, humility, and confidence in Your grace. Let my good works flow from a heart that loves You, not from fear or a desire to earn Your favor. Keep my faith firmly rooted in Christ alone.
