Reflection on Today's Verse
Your standing with God is not built on your performance, your past, or your ability to keep everything together. It is built on His mercy. That matters because it takes the focus off self and places it fully on Christ. When you fail, this verse humbles you. When you doubt, it comforts you. When you are tempted to measure your worth by what you have done, it reminds you that salvation began with God’s kindness, not your works.
God saves by mercy, and He continues to renew by His Spirit.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that You saved me not by works of righteousness which I have done, but according to Your mercy. Thank You that my hope is not in my own goodness, but in the finished work of Christ. Help me to rest in Your grace and not trust in my flesh.
Renew my mind today by the Holy Ghost, and let my life reflect gratitude, humility, and peace because of what You have done for me. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
