Reflection on Today's Verse
The word of God is not empty sound. It is not just history, opinion, or religious language. It is truth from God, and it works in those who believe. That means when you receive His word with a believing heart, it is able to strengthen, correct, comfort, and build you up from within.
There are days when spiritual growth feels slow and almost invisible. You may not always see immediate change, but God’s word is still at work. It works quietly in the heart, shaping your thoughts, steadying your walk, and reminding you of what is true. The power is not in your effort alone. The power is in God’s word received by faith.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your word in truth. Thank You that it is not the word of men, but Your living and powerful word. Help me to receive it with faith, with humility, and with a ready heart. When my mind is distracted or my heart grows weak, let Your word work effectually in me.
Strengthen me inwardly, renew my thinking, and help me to stand in grace. Teach me to trust what You have said more than what I feel or what the world says around me. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
