Reflection on Today's Verse
You don’t have to be “strong enough” to be used by God. The whole point of the verse is that the treasure is priceless, but the container is ordinary. That’s you and me… earthen, limited, sometimes tired, sometimes cracked. And God intentionally does it that way so nobody can mistake where the power comes from. Not your personality, not your discipline, not your perfect week… His power.
So when you feel weak, don’t automatically read it as failure. Weakness is often the stage where God shows off His sufficiency. Your job isn’t to become a perfect vessel. Your job is to carry the Treasure, stay yielded, and keep walking by faith so the “excellency” is clearly of God and not of you.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that Your power does not depend on my strength. Thank You for placing Your treasure in an earthen vessel like me, so the glory will be Yours alone. Help me not to be discouraged by my weakness, limitations, or imperfections.
Teach me to rest in Your sufficiency and to trust Your working in me. Let Your life be seen through me today, and let my confidence be in You, not in myself. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
