Reflection on Today's Verse
This is a breath of fresh air for anyone tired of trying to “earn” right standing with God. “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness” means righteousness is no longer a reward for rule-keeping—it’s a gift received through faith. The law demanded perfection, and none of us could deliver it. But Christ did what the law could never do: He fulfilled it completely, then offered His righteousness to “every one that believeth.”
So when your mind starts replaying your failures, your inconsistencies, your “I should’ve done better,” this verse answers back: Your righteousness isn’t in your track record. It’s in Christ. You’re not accepted because you performed well today—you’re accepted because He finished the work. That doesn’t make you careless; it makes you secure. And security is what produces real growth.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Thank You that my right standing with You is not built on my performance, my emotions, or my ability to keep rules… but on what Jesus Christ has already accomplished. When I’m tempted to measure myself by my failures or my efforts, remind me to rest in Your grace.
Teach me to live from acceptance, not for acceptance. Fill my heart with peace, confidence, and gratitude, and let my life reflect the freedom of the finished work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
