Reflection on Today's Verse
Some days you feel worthy. Other days you feel disqualified. This verse cuts through both moods with one steady truth: God’s mercy doesn’t start with you… so it doesn’t collapse with you either.
That means you can stop negotiating with God based on how “good” your day has been. Mercy isn’t a paycheck for effort. It’s God’s heart toward you because of who He is. When you rest there, fear quiets down, pride gets humbled, and your confidence becomes calmer because it’s not built on performance.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You for Your mercy and compassion. Thank You that You are God, and that Your grace is not earned, but given. Quiet my heart when I start measuring myself by my feelings or my failures.
Teach me to rest in what You have spoken, not in what I can prove. Let Your compassion steady me today, and help me walk humbly, thankful, and at peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
