Reflection on Today's Verse
Abraham’s faith wasn’t based on things being just right. It was based on a perfect God. The verse doesn’t say that he was completely sure that things would get better soon. It says he was completely sure that God could do it. That one word, “able,” lifts heavy hearts.
Remember that God’s power isn’t limited by your timeline, your resources, or your current situation. It also reminds you that when you’re tired of waiting, when progress seems slow, or when prayers seem to be hanging in midair.
You don’t have to make things certain. Your job is to stay with the One who always keeps their word.
Personal Prayer
Lord, thank you for being faithful and strong. Please remind me that Your promises don’t depend on how strong I am when I feel weak, unsure, or worn out from waiting. When things are loud, help me to trust Your character.
Like You did for Abraham, make my faith stronger. Help me to relax in Your power instead of panicking when I’m late. I trust that You can do what You said You would do. I choose to hold on.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
