Reflection on Today's Verse
This verse isn’t meant to make you feel bad. It is meant to remind you that the fight itself is a sign of grace. The only people who feel the tension between what God wants and what the flesh wants are those with a renewed heart. You are no longer dead inside because of this conflict. You are alive, aware, and changing.
It’s not about being perfect as a Christian; it’s about being dependent. You don’t lose your place in God’s family when you mess up. You just go back to the One who already knows your weakness and still calls you His own.
Don’t let the struggle pull you away from Christ; let it bring you closer to Him.
Personal Prayer
Father, I come to You with a heart that is often torn. I want to do the right thing, but I don’t always do it. Make me stronger where I am weak. Please remind me that Your grace is stronger than my mistakes.
Help me learn to rely on Your Spirit instead of my own strength. Please protect my thoughts, choices, and desires today. Please help me live in the freedom that Christ has already given me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. (1, 2, 3)
