Reflection on Today's Verse
You don’t need to carry the weight of proving your worth. That version of you—striving, performing, pretending—is already dead. Crucified with Christ. What lives now is something entirely different: not you struggling to imitate Jesus, but Jesus actually living in you. Real freedom isn’t in trying harder—it’s in letting go of the self that was never meant to survive. You were never designed to be the source of your own light.
So ask yourself: what version of “me” have I been trying to keep alive that Jesus already crucified? Ego? Fear? The lie that says you’re not enough? Today is a good day to bury it once and for all.
Personal Prayer
Lord, thank You for the cross that didn’t just pay my debt, but put my old self to death. Remind me I don’t have to fix what You already finished. Let me stop reviving what You crucified. Live in me—boldly, gently, completely. Help me get out of the way. Amen.
