Romans 15:14 – Today’s Verse for August 27, 2025 Wednesday

“And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.“
—  Romans 15:14 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Paul didn’t flatter people; he spoke truth. So when he says that he’s convinced the believers are full of goodness, filled with knowledge, and able to instruct one another—he’s not giving out participation trophies. He saw evidence of grace at work. That’s wild to think about, isn’t it? You don’t have to be a scholar or a preacher to carry the gospel’s weight. Ordinary believers—flawed, stumbling, learning as they go—are entrusted with the ability to strengthen and guide one another. Ever feel unqualified? Paul’s saying you’re already equipped because Christ Himself is the supply. The Spirit fills in the gaps, not your résumé.

I’ve watched people who would never take a microphone speak a single sentence that rearranged my soul. Sometimes you underestimate what’s in you because you only see your weaknesses. But Paul saw the Spirit’s fingerprints on believers—goodness overflowing, truth anchored deep, wisdom sharpened by grace. Imagine if we actually believed that about each other instead of always defaulting to insecurity or suspicion. Imagine if you trusted that God can use your mouth today to encourage, to remind, to correct with gentleness. Not because you’re brilliant, but because you’re His.

Personal Prayer

Lord, thank You that I don’t have to bring credentials to the table—You’ve already filled me with what matters. Give me eyes to see the goodness You’ve planted in others and courage to share the truth You’ve written in me.

Let my words today carry Your grace, not my pride. And when I doubt my usefulness, remind me that the Spirit equips me to build up, not tear down. Amen.
