“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?“
— Romans 10:14 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
I used to think faith was a private garden—quiet, fenced, mine. Then I remembered someone climbed my fence and called my name with good news. People can’t call on a Savior they’ve never heard about. No one believes a rescue they don’t know exists. When I replay the moment the gospel found me, I see an ordinary voice doing an unordinary thing: speaking up. Not polished. Not persuasive. Just honest. What if that ordinary voice is supposed to be mine today?
This isn’t a quota or a guilt trip. It’s a grace chain. God loads the message with power; we just pass it along—cracked cups carrying living water. Fear says, “What if I mess it up?” Grace says, “You can’t save anyone anyway.” So ask the awkward question. Offer prayer in a hallway. Name Jesus without the sales pitch. The Spirit runs ahead; we simply show up and open our mouths. Hearing births believing, and believing blooms into calling. That’s the path. Let’s walk it.
Personal Prayer
Lord Jesus, put one name on my heart and one sentence of good news on my tongue. Make me gentle, clear, and unafraid. Keep me from pressure and pride; let love do the talking and Your Spirit do the convincing.
Open ears, soften hearts, and save today—through Your finished work, not my performance. Amen.
