“Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.“
— Romans 3:27-28 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
Nobody can stride into God’s presence bragging. What could we possibly flash before Him that would impress? Paul’s blunt: boasting’s been kicked to the curb. Faith, not performance, opens the door. Our trophies and checklists don’t mean a thing here. Imagine showing up to a potluck where someone else already paid for the feast — that’s grace.
Trusting Jesus is enough. Anything extra is like showing off a crumpled receipt at a dinner you didn’t pay for. It’s humbling, hilarious, and wildly freeing.
Personal Prayer
Lord, thank You that my worth doesn’t hinge on my record. Help me drop my invisible medals and lean into simple trust.
Teach me to live like someone who knows they’re already welcomed. Keep my heart light and my hands empty except for my faith in You. Amen.
