“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.“
— Romans 8:11 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
Remember that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you—and because of that, you’re not just surviving, you’re being made fully alive. This isn’t about waiting for heaven someday. This is now. God isn’t tweaking your behavior or patching you up. He’s doing resurrection work—reviving what’s gone numb, lifting what’s been buried, breathing life into places you’ve written off.
You may feel exhausted or stuck or spiritually out of breath, but the Spirit in you doesn’t run on fumes. It raised a dead man. It can handle your Monday morning. And your trauma. And your doubts. The power that shattered a sealed tomb isn’t intimidated by the stuff weighing you down.
You are not a lost cause. You are a temple where resurrection power lives.
Personal Prayer
Lord, sometimes I feel tired—deep soul tired. Like there’s not much left in me. But Your Word says the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. Not beside me. Not around me. In me. That changes everything.
So breathe into the dry places of my heart. Stir up what’s been asleep. Remind me that I’m not powerless, not forgotten, not too far gone. Fill me with resurrection strength today—the kind that heals what’s broken, lifts what’s heavy, and gives me the courage to keep going even when I want to quit. Thank You for being the life in my lungs and the hope in my bones. Amen.
