“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
— Romans 5:1-2 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
There’s something deeply grounding about these verses. They remind us that peace with God isn’t something we earn or negotiate—it’s a gift, freely given through faith in Jesus. Think about that for a second: peace with God. The kind that doesn’t depend on circumstances or whether we’re “doing enough.”
Paul says we stand in grace. Not wobble, not tiptoe—stand. It’s solid ground. That grace, accessed by faith, means our relationship with God is secure, even on the days we feel like we’re failing. And then there’s hope—this incredible, unshakable hope in God’s glory. It’s not wishful thinking; it’s the kind of hope that gives us the courage to keep going, knowing the best is yet to come.
What a gift it is to live in this reality, where faith unlocks peace, grace, and hope. It changes everything. It’s not just theology—it’s life.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You for the peace I have with You through Jesus. I don’t take it lightly that I can stand in Your grace—not because of what I’ve done, but because of what Christ has done for me. On the days when I feel unworthy or shaken, remind me that this peace is secure, anchored in Your love.
Help me to live boldly in the hope of Your glory, not dwelling on my shortcomings but rejoicing in Your faithfulness. Strengthen my faith, Lord, so I can walk with confidence, knowing Your grace holds me up. May my life reflect the joy of this truth, and may I never stop boasting in the hope I have in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
