Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! — 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
It’s better than starting from scratch! As Christians are given the chance to make a fresh start. God not only redeemed us, pardoned us took us captive, and then saved us, He also created us a brand new creation! Every time we go to Him, every single day we renew our commitment to serve God. And with every new year that we give the God of heaven, to receive the chance to begin anew and experience the possibility of a new life.
Therefore, as we enter the new year, let’s start with a prayer to God in prayer, seeking His cleansing of any sin, and let Him take control in our daily lives.
My Prayer
Dear God, I would like to praise You and praise You with the choices I take, those me influence, my words I say, as well as my actions in this new year.
I realize that I am not guaranteed a new year, however I would like each day I live to be one that I am living for Your glory and honour and praise. I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
