It is easy to lose heart. Even if things take longer than expected. Perhaps you believed you would be promoted to your current job. Maybe God has a promise that you haven’t yet fulfilled in your life. No matter what it is, today’s Bible verse can help you.
This verse reminds us not to give up. We all know patience can be hard. Waiting is not something that anyone likes. But it is in these times of waiting that many people can develop character. You may realize that your attitude needs to change. You might realize that your happiness is not based on God.
Sometimes, we see our true hope in difficult times. If you feel discouraged and down because of the waiting, this could be a sign that you have been placing your faith in your circumstances instead of in Jesus.
Today, if patience is a struggle, don’t lose heart. Be confident that God will reward your hard work and that God will see it. Place your faith in Jesus, and let the circumstances not dictate your happiness.
My Prayer
Lord, renew my strength. Your supernatural power can fill me. I will overcome every obstacle that stands in my way. Keep my eyes fixed on you, Lord. Walking beside me and working with me, I can do it. We are grateful to you, Lord. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
