But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. — 1 Peter 5:10 KJV
Bible Verse Reflection
We will be rejected by the world for our faith in Christ, and we will suffer persecution from atheist regimes. We must remember that only through suffering can we enter the glorious kingdoms of Christ. God will guide and perfect us through this suffering so that He can give us His wonderful promises.
This is how Peter saw God’s work. Peter was exposed to the pain of trial and refinement through his experiences. He was determined to love God and satisfied him. He focused on God’s will through trials and refinement and obeyed God’s sovereign and arrangements. The Holy Spirit guided him and enlightened his faith. His love for God grew deeper. He was finally perfected by God and became the one with the most understanding of God.
My Prayer
Our Father in heaven, I am overwhelmed by Your love and grace. I pray that I can walk worthy of You, not with fear in the face of the fiery trials that life brings, but that I am strengthened and rooted in the faith, and that my eyes be fixed on Your Rock of salvation. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
