Reflection on Today's Verse

Everything we see, everything we touch—it all belongs to God. The trees, the rivers, the mountains, the food on our tables. Even the breath in our lungs. Nothing is ours. We are caretakers of what He has made.

That changes how we see the world. If it’s all His, we should treat it with respect. Our bodies, our homes, our work—it’s all part of His creation. We don’t own anything; we just borrow it for a little while.

It also means we don’t have to worry so much. God is in control. He provides what we need. We don’t have to grab and hold tight as if we might lose everything. He gives freely. He knows what’s best.

So today, let’s be thankful. Let’s take care of what He has given us. And let’s trust that the One who owns it all is taking care of us, too.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, everything belongs to You. The earth, the sky, the things I have, and even my life. I forget that sometimes. I hold on too tightly, as if I own it all. But You are the true owner. I am just a caretaker.

Thank You for providing for me. For food, for shelter, for breath in my lungs. Help me to be grateful for what I have and not worry about what I don’t. Teach me to trust You more.

Show me how to take care of what You’ve given me. My body, my home, the people in my life. Let me use everything for Your glory. Let me live with open hands, ready to give, ready to serve, ready to let go when You ask.

You are in control, Lord. And that is enough for me. Amen.
